Bavaguthu Sachidananda Shetty, aged 82, beloved elder brother of renowned NRI entrepreneur Dr B R Shetty, passed away early morning on Saturday, March 28 at Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru.

He leaves behind two sons and two daughters.

In November 2019, B S Shetty had moved to Bengaluru for treatment due to illness. Before he retired he was the manager at Life Insurance Company (LIC) in Mangaluru office. Currently, he was serving as the Chairman of the World Bunts Foundation Trust.

His final rites will be performed at Bavaguthu, Kaup, Udupi district, on Sunday 29 March 2020.
